Description of perlite breed of Aragats deposit

Perlite breed of Aragats deposit is a sour, water-containing volcanic glass, having the ability to swell during burning, forming a light porous material.

Scope of application

Popped perlite is high quality heat insulating and sound absorbing material with bulk weight of approximately 50kg/cmb, and is used in construction, agroindustry, dry mixes, placeholders of light concretes, filtering material, catalyzer holder etc.

Perlite is also a valuable raw material for chemical processing with obtaining complex raw material for production of high quality glass, liquid glass, sodium metasilicate. Perlite is used to obtain continuous fiberglass and sitallas, which are good replacements for pegmatite.
